All children at Skelton Community Primary School, will study music as part of the curriculum.
Our Aims:
Our aim is to foster an enjoyment and appreciation of music through exciting and engaging lessons that develop listening, performing and composing skills.
Furthermore, we aim to encourage self expression and build confidence through music performance and to develop an awareness of different musical styles.
Music Tuition Bursary Scheme
There is a charge for individual or group music tuition if this is not part of the National Curriculum. These lessons are taken by a peripatetic music teacher who will have a schedule of prices for different instruments and groups.
For children who are looked after or on free school meals, there is a bursary scheme of up to £200 per pupil per academic year to help disadvantaged families with the costs of instrumental and vocal tuition.
Please click here for details of how to apply for a bursary.
